Fabulous venue. Peaceful and relaxing. Dinner was delicious with a superb wine list..as you would expect!
Very nice hotel for Christmas stay. Beautifully decorated. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Food was excellent. Rooms well equipped and very comfortable. Simple, well managed and friendly way to enjoy Christmas in company of friends and family.
Very nice hotel, complete with some parking, well appointed rooms, great restaurant and a very nice couple of wine cellars. In view of the amenities one would expect from such a highly rated place it was just what we needed for a long weekend in Cheltenham.The food was excellent, the staff were helpful to a fault, providing just the right amount of service that makes for an enjoyable stay or just a relaxed meal.Clearly this means that the cost isnt in the bargain basement of hotel prices but considering all that was provided as well as that on offer, my wife and I thought it to be quite reasonable.We can highly recommend it.
This is a unique and beautiful hotel. The rooms are cozy and named after wines. The bathrooms are always beautiful with lovely fixtures. I enjoy having tea in the bar area in the afternoon. One minor complaint I have is the fish smell emanating from the restaurant downstairs. The kippers are strong, as are the varieties of other fish on the dinner menus. It's just not my favorite odor.
Warm welcome on check in with a complimentary upgrade to Executive room. Reception staff were friendly and attentive throughout my stay. Room was spacious with a beautiful bathroom. Limited hanging space in a large wardrobe. Restaurant offers a limited menu at dinner. Breakfast service was not the same quality as rest of the hotel because there were many times when there were no staff in the room.
