Another wonderous place in the Cotswolds. No pubs or such by the walk between Lower and Upper Slaughter but, certainly worth that walk. Make sure you have walking boots and trousers you don't mind getting mucky in. It's a short walk but, very much worth it. The view is spectacular and just the serenity of it all just makes you want to move to either of the villages.
What an extremely quaint area! And this little gift shop and tea house is no exception. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a young child with us during our visit and they were kind to her as well, as long as she wasn't doing things she wasn't supposed to be. I would definitely visit here again and I thought the prices were very reasonable.
Great little gift shop with friendly staff and the most perfect little cafe right next to the river. Nothing cuter and more English especially on a nice day! 5 stars!!!
Went for a cup of coffee there and visited their wonderful shop. Quite an interesting place with lots to offer. The view was beautiful..
It's actually much more than just a Museum. And yes, it's also an Old Mill by the stream/river; but in addition, it's also a gift shop, selling a very wide range of good quality products (rather than the usual tat), and if you venture through the shop part, there's a lovely little cafe at the rear. The outside seating area is overlooking the river, just where it's dammed up to supply power to the mill wheel. They also serve decent coffee and cakes, and, from what I could see coming out for other visitors, more substantial food. We loved sitting there in the sun so much, had to buy a couple more drinks, as my other half was feeling guilty...
