It's a good surgery. The team are very understanding and will bend over backwards to help.
I was sent here by my usual surgery, as they were full. I left work early to get to the appointment. When I arrived i was told the doctor was new and running a little late. About 20 mins later the receptionist said he wasn't now coming in and I'd have to wait till the weekend or phone 111. I tried to put my foot down and asked to see another doctor but because 'i wasn't one of their usual patients and they couldn't fit me in that evening.' The girl at the reception desk booked me a taxi to my usual surgery, where I was in and out in 5 minutes. I felt this was appalling manor in the surgery's part.
I've been registered at Overton Park Surgery for the last twenty years and have found the service offered to me by the doctors, the nurses, and the administrative staff to be very good. The staff here manage to be project a relaxed professionalism and deliver super person-centred care.
Very disappointed on initial experience. Was told by reception that could bring parents in on a specific Saturday morning before 10am to register. Waited two weeks for this date only to arrive and be advised because of flu clinics they were in fact not now registering this morning. The receptionist was apologetic and said her manager had given this instruction. We had specifically arranged this, parents are elderly and new to the area...very disappointed sadly.
