Expected this to be good but was blown away. Fine dining and amazing value French classics. Service was excellent. It feels like a little piece of France. Will be recommending to all who will listen.

Thank you for asking why l have only given you three stars.....Firstly l had the duck which l found to be dry and overcooked.We had the cheese board for dessert and the cheese was served with rather large clices of french bread.....french bread....this was a first for me in all my years of dining out.As l stated your restaurant was clean and service excellent.I never put these comments in my first review but seeing as though you asked l am happy to oblique.I find it strange that a proprietor should question what really was a fair star mark in my opinion,is that why the system is there for feedback.James
We went to L'Artisan for my girlfriend's birthday. We sat upstairs which was a nice room. Good atmosphere and the lady who served us was great and was very chatty. I had the smoked salmon for starter and then the rabbit for main then a chocolate desert. All very good. I just felt there was something missing to make it a 5 out of 5. Not sure exactly what is missing. Definitely worth trying.My girlfriend had the steak tartare which she said was nice but she has had a better one elsewhere. She did really enjoy the cheese for desert and the port.
