The staff in the cafe are thoroughly miserable. Same in the food store. What does M&S do to employ such a consistently miserable staff? Rude.
Good layout and easy to find things. Also just nice to pop in and have a peruse occasionally as they always have something interesting.
Shop is well presented up to M&S standards. With enough of everything stock wise to cover what you would be looking for. Cafe is good, nice selection of hot and cold food and cakes etc. System is a little slow as it gets quite busy so could perhaps do with a second till or another server during busy periods. Staff are lovely and work hard under pressure.
Clean well lit store with helpful staff. Did feel the coffee shop levels of service need improving and cutlery not as clean I'd have expected from M and S! If high street retail is to survive every little detail counts and customer service must be consistently exemplary. I do feel M and S is slipping in these areas.
