Cool quirky place to go for a hot drink to have their or takeaway to enjoy a walk around the lake. Lovely staff..very friendly and reasonably priced. Hopefully the takeaway cups are recyclable.
Need to revert back to original pasties. They were lovely. It was a Sunday treat to walk down and have a pasty and coffee. Not any more. The pasties are like the ones you would buy in Greggs but are twice as expensive.
So much nicer since the re-fit. Hot chocolate is lovely. Good selection of cold drinks, cakes, ice cream and hot snacks. My favourites are the cheese & onion pasty, heated; and the bacon roll is good thick back bacon in a tasty sourdough roll. There are seat cushions available if you prefer not to sit on damp or cold wooden seats... jolly thoughtful!
A very unexpected place for a very lovely sophisticated lunchtime sandwich and well made coffee. Why aren't these folks in the middle of town, cleaning up office lunchtimes? Wonderful. Followed by a very pleasant walk around the park afterwards, of course.
Amazing cafe, such lovely staff, my daughter dropped TWO hot chocolates in a row and they were so sweet and understanding. So appreciated when you're under pressure from children! Very nice food and coffee too. Look forward to returning. Thank you!
